The Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, complained to the Congress high command about the indiscipline among party MLAs in the state over the bifurcation issue. He reportedly told the high command that even the appointment of the nine-member Coordination Committee by the Congress president was being criticised, and that some legislators are issuing public statements on his style of functioning.
He said he could not enter into an argument with them and that the high command should take steps to rein them in; if this is done, he could assure better administration, Mr Rosaiah is said to have told Mrs Sonia Gandhi’s political secretary, Mr Ahmed Patel, on Saturday night. He also warned that after the terms of references of the Justice Srikrishna Committee are made known, the situation may take any turn.
